Could possibly go perm if candidate desires)Strong Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewall management, F5 load balancing, and network automation (NetBrain/Ansible + Python/YAML).Start Date: ASAPNumber of Openings: 1F2F INTERVIEW with manager references with public and active LinkedInPosition OverviewThe Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of the organization's data, voice, video, and wireless network infrastructure. This includes implementing, maintaining, and optimizing LAN, WAN, and wireless environments, supporting enterprise network hardware and software, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancing, along with experience in network automation and performance monitoring.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability across all network services.Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama, F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM, iRules), and Cisco environments.Utilize network automation tools (NetBrain, Ansible) and scripting (Python, YAML) to streamline configurations and reporting.Maintain documentation on network configurations, processes, and service records.Conduct network capacity planning, performance testing, and proactive monitoring using tools such as ThousandEyes, Cisco Umbrella, and NetBrain.Develop and implement policies and procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.Collaborate with vendors and contractors to resolve complex network issues.Research and evaluate emerging network technologies, standards, and best practices to enhance infrastructure performance and security.Provide network performance statistics, reports, and recommendations to IT leadership. Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.Advanced expertise in Cisco routing and switching.Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama management.Strong knowledge of F5 load balancing (LTM, GTM) and iRules.Experience with network automation (NetBrain, Ansible) and scripting (Python, YAML).Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as ThousandEyes, Cisco Umbrella, and NetBrain.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Preferred QualificationsCertifications: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or NetBrain Certified Automation Professional (NCAP).Experience with cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies.Prior experience in large, mission-driven enterprise environments.
