Assistant Project Manager
Position OverviewFite Building Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently.The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment while representing Fite’s culture and core values both internally and externally.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & ManagementAssist with management of construction projects from startup through closeoutReview and understand project plans, specifications, and contract documentsSupport development and maintenance of project schedules and project controlsCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and material trackingManage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationSupport project budgeting, cost tracking, invoice review, and projectionsHelp facilitate coordination meetings with project teams and trade partnersWork alongside field leadership to resolve day-to-day project issuesTrack punch list completion and assist with project closeout documentationCommunication & Team SupportMaintain strong communication with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsBuild positive working relationships while helping drive accountability and project performanceSupport collaboration between office and field operationsRepresent Fite professionally with clients, inspectors, and industry partnersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredConstruction project management or internship experience preferredStrong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to problem solve and manage competing prioritiesFamiliarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office
