Job DescriptionCivil Associate, Bridge(Hybrid)What We're Looking ForMichael Baker International is seeking a motivated Civil Associate to join our Bridge Team in either Columbia or Greenville, South Carolina. This is an opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented Bridge engineering experts in the nation.What You’ll DoPerform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculationsDevelop or assist in developing structural details and construction plansPrepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculationsPerform bridge inspections and assessmentsSuccessfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil, planning, etc.) to support a diverse range of projectsAssist in creating parametric models for bridge design projectsWhat You'll Need To SucceedBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering2+ years of bridge design, analysis, inspection, and related experienceEIT or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong technical and communication skills with a commitment to qualityFamiliarity with AASHTO and DOT design and construction standards preferredComputer skills include Finite Element Software, Bridge Design and Rating Software, Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Drafting (MicroStation preferred)Prior experience in seismic design and analysis is preferredCompensationThe salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
