The Python Engineer in Private Markets will develop high-efficiency software systems for the private credit asset class and support the Aladdin investment operating system, ensuring code quality and stability while collaborating with global teams.Responsibilities:• Deliver high efficiency, high availability and scalable software systems that integrate with external systems.• Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews, unit, regression and user acceptance testing, dev ops and production support.• Review the code of your colleagues and offer constructive feedback to uphold code quality, adhere to standard processes, and encourage knowledge transfer.• Participate in feature requirements gathering, design, and implementation.• Manage software releases and support software features launches.• Understand the production environment and help triage production issues.• Collaborate with global teams across different offices.• Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity within the team.Qualifications:Required:• B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area• 3+ years of software experience in a commercial capacity• 3+ years of experience in software development using Python and strong knowledge of Pandas Data Frame• Experience in Java, C# development is a huge bonus• Experience in designing, implementing and using APIs• Working experience with relational databases such as Sybase and MSSQL• Working experience with non-relational databases including Snowflake and Cassandra• Great analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills• Enthusiastic about learning and applying new technologiesCompany:BlackRock is an investment company that offers its services to institutions, intermediaries, foundations, and individual investors.
