Digital Services Development Engineer (Automotive Software)
Location: Raymond, OH (On-site – Auto Development Center)
Pay Rate: $52.98 – $72.85 per hour
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Digital Services Development Engineer to design, develop, and validate in-vehicle digital services software for next-generation automotive platforms. This is a senior-level engineering role focused on software architecture, C++ development, system integration, and verification testing for applications that interface across multiple vehicle electronic domains and external cloud services.
Digital services include software-based vehicle features that may communicate with external servers and support over-the-air (OTA) updates. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across the full software development lifecycle and thrives in solving highly complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop software architecture for automotive digital services
Analyze and define software requirements and technical specifications
Develop and maintain high-quality C++ software (hand-coded or auto-generated)
Support development using tools such as VS Code, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar
Perform static code analysis, unit testing, and integration testing
Execute software verification, validation, and qualification testing
Support cross-domain integration with in-vehicle electronic systems
Participate in CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver production-ready software
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in C++ (required)
Experience across the software development lifecycle, including:
Requirements analysis
Architectural and detailed design
Software implementation
Verification and validation
Experience with:
Static code analysis and unit testing (e.g., Parasoft C++test, Google Test, or similar)
Software integration and qualification testing
UML diagrams and architectural modeling (Enterprise Architect or similar)
Git/GitHub version control
CI/CD pipelines
Preferred / Desired Skills
Python development experience
Familiarity with ASPICE development processes
Experience with QNX SDP
Knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR software development
Experience using VECTOR CANoe and CANape
Familiarity with Linux-based software development environments
Experience with AWS-based development environments
Knowledge of MQTT, Wireshark, and networked systems
Experience using JIRA and SharePoint
Work Location
On-site role at the Auto Development Center in Raymond, OH
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs; limited lifting up to 50 lbs
Work performed primarily in a professional engineering and lab environment
No routine exposure to extreme temperatures, flammable gases, or hazardous materials
