Network Technician – Optical NetworkingLocations (100% Onsite): Candidates must be willing to work onsite in one of the following locations:Portland, OR Seattle, WA Atlanta, GA Columbus, OH Ashburn, VAWe are seeking an experienced Network Technician (L4) to support large-scale telecom deployment and network operations across multiple U.S. locations. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in optical transport, advanced provisioning, and end-to-end network lifecycle support in high-availability environments.This is a great opportunity for a senior-level telecom professional who thrives in complex optical network environments and enjoys ownership of end-to-end deployment and troubleshooting activities.Required & Relevant Experience:Strong Optical Networking Expertise (Must-have) Deep hands-on experience with DWDM, OTN, SONET, ROADM, and large-scale telecom/data center deployments. Ciena Ecosystem Experience (Highly Preferred) Experience with Ciena 6500, Waveserver, and packet platforms, including provisioning, design, deployment, and troubleshooting aligned to L4-level responsibility. End-to-End Deployment & Provisioning Proven ability in circuit provisioning, commissioning, MOP execution, test validation, and field deployment activities. Advanced Troubleshooting & Tier 3 Support Strong background in outage management, root cause analysis, and resolving complex production network issues. Integration, Migration & Decommissioning Experience in network transformation projects, including migration from legacy systems (SONET/TDM) to modern optical architectures. Documentation & Process Discipline Hands-on experience creating and managing MOPs, SOWs, BOMs, test plans, and engineering documentation. Mentorship & Field Coordination Experience guiding field technicians, coordinating with NOC teams, and working cross-functionally in high-pressure maintenance windows.
