Job DescriptionFull Time | Bergen County, NJ | 10 minutes from NYCThe Section of Interventional Pulmonology / Thoracic Surgery at Englewood Health performs a broad range of advanced procedures and continues to experience steady growth. You will work closely with our interventional pulmonologist, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to support outpatient clinics, inpatient and emergency department consultations, bedside and operating room procedures, and the coordination of our Lung Nodule Program. About the Opportunity: Our Interventional Pulmonology Group is seeking a motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing, collaborative, and procedure-focused team. What your day will look likeClinical & Procedural SupportCoordinate and support the establishment of new Interventional Pulmonology services at Englewood HealthAssist the interventional pulmonologist with bedside and minor procedures (e.g., chest tube management, thoracentesis, wound care)Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, including reviewing medical clearances and placing laboratory and imaging ordersPerform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and document clinical findings accurately and efficiently.Support outpatient clinic operations, including writing clinic notes, placing orders, coordinating care, and obtaining pre-authorizations for diagnostic studies and proceduresSee patients independently in the outpatient clinic Inpatient & Emergency Department CoverageConduct daily inpatient rounds, write progress notes, and coordinate care plansEvaluate and manage inpatient and emergency department consultsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions of care Lung Nodule ProgramParticipate in the evaluation, tracking, and follow-up of patients with incidentally detected or referred lung nodulesCoordinate diagnostic workups, imaging studies, and specialty referralParticipate in and help coordinate multidisciplinary conferences, including tumor board and lung nodule conferencesProvide patient education and navigation throughout the diagnostic and treatment process Qualifications: Education requirements:Bachelor's Required, Master's Degree PreferredPrior experience in interventional pulmonology, pulmonary/critical care, or thoracic surgery is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to applyStrong interest in procedural medicine and willingness to learn new skillsExcellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making abilitiesStrong documentation and organizational skillsLicense/Certification/Registry:Physician Assistant (PA) with current New Jersey licenseNCCPA certificationCurrent BLS and ACLSActive NJ CDS and DEA licenses Why Join UsTop-ranked #2 Hospital in New Jersey#1 in Bergen County for Quality, Safety & Patient ExperienceBergen County (just 10 minutes from New York City) offers vibrant suburban communities with top?rated schools, easy access to NYC, and abundant parks, dining, and cultural amenities.Commuter?friendly with multiple transit options to access world-class dining, culture, entertainment and recreation Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees.
