Position Title:Maintenance APay Rate:$28.58/hr. up to $39.01/hr.Retention Bonus:$500 after 30 days,$500 after 6 months,$500 after 1 yearCategory/Shift:Hourly Full TimeDay Shift: 7A - 7PEvening Shift: 7P - 7AShift - 2 on; 2 off; 3 on; 2 off; 2 on 3 offPhysical Location:Fort Smith North Container4500 Newlon RdFort Smith, AR 72904The Job You Will Perform:* Following all safety rules and practices.* Ensure product safety1.* performing preventative maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels2 - performing emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations3 - referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; knowledge of detailed mechanical equipment drawings and ability to use detailed blueprints in carrying out troubleshooting and equipment repair4 - contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results5 - accurately using measurement and test equipment; knowledge of types of pitch, diameter of gears (spur, bevel, right angle, herringbone and rack and pinion); ability to install and check for backlash and wear and maintain gears; knowledge of all tools and proficient with scales, tape measures, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, torque wrenches and pullers6 - performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed; read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and diagrams; ability to design, build and install simple pneumatic and hydraulic systems7 -safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operation steam pressure (greater than or equal to 180 PSI)8 - knowledge of mechanical drives and their function and troubleshooting9 - knowledge of rigging (coma longs, port-a-power, blocking, chain falls, slings, chokers, hydraulic jack, machine dollies, booms and spreader bars10 - proficient in all types of welding (torch, stick, mig and tig)11 - Identify types of bearing and class of fits (roller, ball, tapered & cylindrical and spherical) identify proper sizing of belts, sheaves, sprockets & chains.12 - maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks13 - accurately and completely preparing and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork14 - utilize maintenance computer system to enter notifications, time, research parts, manuals, drawings, etc.15 - troubleshooting and solving problems16 - maintaining teamwork with other associates17 - keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations
