Job Description Position Overview:Due to our extensive growth and increasing reliance on technology and integrated business systems, we are seeking an IT Director to partner closely with our Leadership Team and Business Systems Team to ensure our IT strategy, infrastructure, cyber security and technology governance effectively support our business needs.Reporting Relationship: The IT Director reports to the COOIT Director Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Strategic LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that includes infrastructure, cybersecurity, data architecture and enterprise application governanceParticipate in Leadership L10 meetings and strategic planning initiativesPartner with executive leadership to leverage technology for scalability, efficiency, and customer service improvementsIn partnership with the Business Systems team, create and maintain a multi-year technology platform plan to support the businessTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team that includes infrastructure, help desk, security and technical engineering resourcesOversee hiring, training, performance management, professional development and succession planningFoster a collaborative, service-oriented team cultureTechnology OperationsOwn uptime and performance of IT infrastructure, network operations, cloud and on-premise systems, enterprise applications, and data securityOversee the installation and continued maintenance of facility infrastructure; including security, access control, video surveillance, and audio-visual systems for all HM Cragg facilitiesOversee telephony and communication systems across the organizationEstablish and maintain IT governance, change management, and support processes that improve consistency and user adoption across the organizationERP Systems LeadershipProvide technical leadership for the ERP platform including performance, support, and optimizationAlongside the Business Systems Leader, partner with Finance, Operations and Sales to ensure the ERP platform is stable, secure, and scalableSupport technology related initiatives for ERP upgrades, integrations, and system performance improvements from an infrastructure and platform perspectiveEnsure appropriate user access controls, system performance, and platform reliabilityOversee vendors, consultants, and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery, issue resolution, and ongoing support of the IT platform (e.g., infrastructure, hosting, integrations), while partnering with Business Systems on application functionality and solutioningCybersecurity & Risk ManagementImplement cybersecurity protocols, risk mitigation strategies, and disaster recovery plansEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policiesOversee system access, data protection, backup strategies, and incident response readinessBusiness PartnershipBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions that meet business needsAct as a trusted advisor in technology enablement for department leaders and Business Systems to improve workflows, reporting, automation, and system utilizationTranslate business needs into scalable, secure, and practical technology solutionsFinancial OversightDevelop and manage the IT budgetEvaluate technology investments, contracts, and vendor platform relationshipsPrepare business cases for major IT initiativesPerformance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for IT operations and systemsPromote innovation, accountability, and continuous improvementProvide technology enablement to support Business Systems and Department leader initiatives to streamline processes, improve reporting and analytics, and increase the effectiveness of business technology across the organizationRequirements:Skills/KnowledgeStrong leadership and team development experienceProven ability to align IT strategy with business objectivesExperience developing, documenting, and overseeing IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and business systems in a growing organizationDemonstrated experience partnering with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other functional leaders to improve technology enablement through ERP and related systemsExperience managing ERP-related infrastructure, integrations, and system performance initiativesExperience with systems integration, IT vendor management, and third-party application supportStrong project management and prioritization skillsStrong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business recommendationsExperience establishing KPIs, SLAs, and performance metricsProven ability to lead in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentProven ability to lead technology change in an organizationPersonal AttributesDemonstrates strong leadership, accountability, and ownershipStrategic thinker with a focus on scalability and business impactCollaborative and team-oriented mindsetStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesFocused on continuous improvement and innovationAbility to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational needsHigh level of integrity and professionalismTravel Expectations:Minimal travel required; occasional travel as needed.Posting Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proven experience in IT leadership roles within a growing organizationExperience partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other departmentsDemonstrated experience supporting ERP-related initiatives including upgrades, integrations, and system performance improvementsCollaboration Between IT and Business SystemsIT owns the technology platform, infrastructure, security, and system performance that support applications and dataBusiness Systems owns application functionality, system configuration, and data integrityFP&A owns interpretation, analysis, and reporting of dataThese functions work in close partnership to ensure systems are scalable, data is accurate, and business insights are actionable. IT supports Business Systems in resolving technical issues, while Business Systems determines data integrity and functional requirements.
