Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist OB Part Time Detroit

$20,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!CRNA's - with OB experience!Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during obstetrical deliveries and procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all A.S.A. classes of patients. Will work in care team model but must be proficient to autonomously perform spinals, epidurals, and manage cesarean section and obstetric emergencies. 2,500-3,000 deliveries per year.Mix of two 12 hour shifts or 24 hour shift. Primarily weekends.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:People1. Provides leadership in the professional practice setting.2. Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.3. Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner.4. Identify patient problem and collaborates with the Anesthesia / Surgeon /Perioperative team in the selection of appropriate interventions (tasks).5. Interacts with members of the health care team to plan and coordinate theperioperative care.6. Promotes a healthy work environment through promotion of professionalcommunication standards, commitment to co-workers, and positive problemresolution.Service1. Conducts appropriate pre-anesthetic assessments, and document findings.2. In collaboration with the anesthesiologist, determines the appropriate anesthetic planof management, manages all aspects of anesthesia care to include preoperative,perioperative, and immediate postoperative care.3. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of care for all procedures.4. Provides airway management and/or intubations for emergent, non-emergent, andresuscitation situations throughout the hospital.5. Anticipates and exceeds patients and customers' expectations that meet allelements of the Henry Ford Experience.6. Identifies services and care improvement ideas and act on them to create excellentcustomer experiences.7. Demonstrates, supports, and assumes personal accountability for consistentlyupholding team members to the standards across the System and adhering to HenryFord Health policies and procedures.8. Recognizes the unique contribution all health care team members contribute to thepatient experience.9. Performs other related duties as assigned.Quality and Safety1.
