High-Net-Worth Tax Supervisor & Tax Manager (Trusts & Estates)
Position Summary: We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead complex engagements involving HNWIs, estates, trusts, and gift tax planning . The ideal candidate is a tax leader who enjoys building long-term client relationships and navigating nuanced tax situations involving wealth, succession, and legacy planning.Key Responsibilities:Manage and review complex individual, fiduciary (Form 1041), estate (Form 706), and gift tax (Form 709) returnsAdvise HNWI clients on estate planning, trust structuring, charitable giving, and wealth transfer strategiesLead client engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring high-quality service and complianceProvide oversight, mentoring, and technical training to tax staff and seniorsLiaise with attorneys, investment advisors, and fiduciaries to coordinate tax strategiesStay current on federal and state tax laws impacting estates, trusts, and wealthy individualsIdentify planning opportunities and contribute to business development activitiesMaintain strong client relationships and serve as the go-to tax resourceBasic Qualifications:CPA required; MST, JD, or LLM in Taxation strongly preferredMinimum 5 7 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on HNWIs, estates, and trustsIn-depth knowledge of federal and state fiduciary and estate tax lawsExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clientsProven leadership and client management abilitiesExperience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar)
