Sr Manager Sales

Job Posting Title Sr Manager Sales Job Description Summary Leads a sales team supporting all commercial activities related to the AAM domestic OEM group for powertrain, driveline and transmission products. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and supervise sales processes, identify issues, and improve performance. Job Description: • Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. • Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. • Plans, coordinates and manages the promotion and sales of AAM products to assigned customers, ensuring that AAM is appropriately visible as a supplier of forged products, and is included in new business opportunities • Responsible for managing the customer quote process, including coordination of cross-functional team and preparing formal quotation for the customer. • Negotiates and reviews contracts and Purchase orders. • Lead teams in overall commercial/sales communication, sales strategy, and account development plan. • Development of OEM Long Range Product Plans (LRPPs) and thus AAM target markets. • In conjunction with AAM's other Product or Geographical Regions, establishes strategic sales plans (short and long range) to achieve corporate objectives for AAM products at assigned customers, ensures successful execution of Strategic Plans. • Monitors competitive products and competitors marketing activities. • Participates in development and maintenance of customer/sales database. • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events. Required Skills and Education • College degree or equivalent with strong technical proficiency • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. • Hardworking and Self Directed. • Knowledge and understanding of business and basic business finance. • Strong oral and written communication skills.
