City of Dillon is hiring!Job Title: Water/Sewer Operator Wage: DOELocation: Dillon MontanaFull Benefit Package: Health insurance, sick leave, vacation, and PERS retirementGeneral PurposeThis employee performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the constriction, operation, repair, testing, maintenance, and replacement of the city water and sewer systems. This employee is generally responsible for the daily operation of the water and sewer systems and the record keeping required for these facilities.Required Education and/or ExperienceThis employee is required to have the following minimum qualifications:a) Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalent.b) Knowledge of equipments, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in maintenance, construction and repair activities.c) Skill in the operation of the following listed tools and equipment: Welder, motorized vehicles, generators, common hand and power tools, mobile radios, telephone, backhoe, hydro flusher and other equipment specific to the operation of a water and sewer department.d) Valid Montanas Drivers license.e) Certification by the State of Montana with at least a 2a, 4b, and 1c water and wastewater operators license or obtain proper licenses within one (1) year probation period.f) Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.g) Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.h) Preference will be given to applicants that have been honorably discharged from a military branch of the United States Government.
