We wish you the very best in your job search.Our client is a small, fast-moving company of 20 employees across the US, Mexico, and Argentina, operating with a mixed model of employees and independent contractors.Summary: The company HR team currently consists of one Director, and this role will serve as a key second contributor, working closely with the Director on day-to-day people operations while helping build and streamline the systems they are putting in place.This is a remote, full-time independent contractor position based in Latin America. The selected contractor is expected to be available during core Pacific Time (PST) business hours to ensure alignment with the US-based team.Location: LATAM / Working Hours: 8-5 pm PST.ResponsibilitiesSupport the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and documentationAdminister and maintain HR systems, including HRIS (BambooHR and ADP), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS)Respond to employee questions with accuracy and care, escalating to the HR Director when appropriateHelp ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirementsPartner with the HR Director on employee relations, performance management, and policy rolloutsDesign, build, and deliver training programs and learning content for employees and managers, leveraging our LMS and AI toolsDocument and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR processes to drive consistency and scalabilityBuild, document, and continuously improve HR workflows and systems as the company growsChampion a continuous improvement mindset across the people function, identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutionsBuild and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and process documentationCreate internal communications using Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and AI toolsContribute to cross-functional projects and special HR initiativesRequirementsBased in Latin America, with the ability to work core Pacific Time (PST) business hours consistentlyProven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role within a fast-paced environmentHands-on experience with HRIS & ATS platformsStrong working knowledge of HR best practicesEmployee relations experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook),Proficiency with Canva, and (LMS) Learning Management SystemsChatGPT prompting experience and active use of AI tools in daily workflowsFluency in English, written and verbalReliable home office setup, secure internet, and capacity to work independently across time zonesExceptional attention to detail and organizational disciplineWho Are YouA true generalist, comfortable wearing multiple hats on a small teamHas a builder mindset; sees a messy process and wants to systemize and improve itEasily adaptable to change and energized by shifting priorities in a growing environmentTech-savvy and curious; you lean on technology and AI to work smarter, not harderHigh-energy, a natural communicator, and a real people personNot afraid to ask questions, but capable of running independently once you have directionA quick learner who picks up new systems and processes with minimal hand-holdingDetail-oriented, accountable, and proactive about anticipating issues before they become problemsUnderstands the importance of contracts and compliance in protecting the organizationComfortable reinforcing expectations and following up to ensure deadlines and documentation are metNice to HaveExperience supporting US benefits administrationWorking knowledge of US labor lawExperience with Claude or other AI platforms beyond ChatGPTHands-on experience with BambooHR and ADPPrior experience supporting US-based companies as a remote contractor from LATAMFamiliarity with mixed employee and independent contractor workforce modelsExperience helping build or streamline HR systems from the ground up
