Senior Java Developer - 100% Remote - W2

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to support a Media Orchestration initiative within the Status & Workflow Aggregation (SWAN) platform. This role will focus on building scalable Java services, APIs, and event-driven systems that aggregate media-processing status across streaming, linear, and theatrical content workflows.The engineer will work closely with product, platform, and QA teams to improve system integrations, search capabilities, reliability, and the cloud-native foundation for future AI-enabled workflows.Responsibilities:Design, build, test, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.Develop RESTful APIs and integrations across internal platforms.Build event-driven applications for high-volume distributed systems.Enhance status aggregation and search capabilities.Improve system scalability, throughput, reliability, and concurrent processing.Manage AWS infrastructure supporting media supply chain applications.Implement unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and deployment automation.Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and on-call support.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and QA teams.Experience:6+ years of backend software engineering experience.Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.Experience building scalable, distributed, event-driven systems.Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency.Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, and DynamoDB.Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, or similar messaging technologies.Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern deployment practices.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.Preferred experience includes Kotlin or Scala, MongoDB, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins, search platforms, media-processing systems, or AI-enabled platform integrations.
