Position SummaryBranch Civil is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented Pursuit Manager to join our well-established, growing company. The Pursuit Manager will work with our Design-Build group and will be responsible for leading the procurement of heavy civil construction projects in the southeast. Depending on the pursuit workload, the candidate will have the opportunity to lead multiple pursuits at one time.Duties/ResponsibilitiesParticipate in developing and execute a strategic plan for current and future opportunitiesWork with the proposal management team to develop RFQ and RFP responsesCoordinate with the Design-Build group on making decisions on teaming arrangements for JV partners, designers, and any other partiesLead the SOQ and RFP process and taking overall responsibility for development of the documentFacilitate executing agreements for joint ventures, designers, and any other partiesCoordinate with the Operations Team in recommending personnel and projectsDevelop the design deliverables and associated schedule of deliverables for the estimating teamCoordinate with the estimating team to develop the best-valued approach for the projectUnderstand and appropriately respond to the needs of the ClientDuties/Responsibilities Cont.Participate in color team reviews of SOQ and Tech Proposal documentsTake part in Technical Work Group meetings with Designer staffWork with the Operations Team in handing off the project post-awardQualificationsBachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferredTen or more years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industryFive or more years of relevant experience leading Design-Build and Alternative Delivery ProjectsDetail oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skillsAbility to work independentlyHandles multiple tasks and projects at once and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficient in Microsoft office products (Excel, Word and Power Point)Strong initiative, ownership, and teamwork skillsCompetenciesCommunicating EffectivelyProblem Solving/AnalysisSales SkillsEstablishing RelationshipsWorking with Financial InformationTravelTravel is not anticipated with this role.Supervisory ResponsibilityPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
