We are seeking a Kitchen Manager who is a "player-coach"-someone who thrives on hands-on execution and takes pride in the "perfect prep" required to deliver our unique fondue experience. The Role: Kitchen LeadershipAs our Kitchen Manager, you are the heartbeat of the Back of House. This is a "player-coach" position that spans the entire operational day: you will be expected to open the restaurant to lead the critical morning prep cycle, ensuring every station is set to our "perfect prep" standard. On select nights, you will also close the restaurant, working the line alongside your team to ensure flawless execution during our peak service hours. Your success depends on your ability to remain self-organized while transitioning from high-level ordering and inventory management to high-impact, hands-on executionCore Responsibilities & KPIsYour performance will be measured by clear, impact-driven metrics: Cost Control: Maintain strict adherence to Food Cost and Labor Cost targets through efficient scheduling and waste reduction. Inventory & Ordering: Manage "perfect ordering" processes to ensure zero stock-outs while maintaining optimal turnover. Quality Assurance: Achieve top-tier Food Scores and Health Inspection results through rigorous safety standards. Guest Sentiment: Drive positive Review Scores by ensuring every plate meets The Melting Pot's visual and flavor standards. Team Health: Focus on Retention Rates and Team Development by training a cross-functional staff. Execution: Demonstrate proficiency to communicate effectively and lead a diverse team, which includes our Spanish speaking team members. RequirementsSelf-Starter Mentality: You don't wait for a task list; you see the needs of the kitchen and execute. The "Perfect Prep" Standard: An obsession with organizational systems and recipe precision. Operational Discipline: Experience with high-volume inventory management and P&L fundamentals. Physical Execution: This is a physically active role that requires being the lead prep person on the floor.
