Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to shape the foundations of a rapidly scaling data ecosystem. As we expand across markets and evolve our capabilities, we need someone who can design data models, define metadata architectures, and establish the standards that make data accessible, usable and trusted across the organization. This is a 6+ month contractor position with possible extension.Responsibilities:Design and maintain data models across the domain, ensuring consistency, scalability and alignment with business semanticsSupport in defining conceptual, logical, and physical architecture that supports data products and operational use casesOwn metadata management architecture ensuring data is discoverable, documented and understood across the organizationEstablish data modelling standards and patterns that Data Engineering teams implementDefine and evolve data architecture best practicesWork with the platform on reference design patters for common scenarios (market integrations, new data sources, cross-functional data sharing)Review data designs proposed by Data Engineering, ensuring alignmentDrive improvement in data accessibility and usabilityCollaborate with Data Engineering on lineage, data quality, and metadata strategyProvide architectural guidance on new initiatives: market expansion, new data domains, product evolutionEvaluate emerging technologies and approaches for applicabilityPartner with Solution Architect on end-to-end architecture decisions that span data and architecture layersRequirements:6+ years of experience in data engineering and architectureProven experience as a Data Architect in a complex, multi-domain environmentExperience establishing data architecture standards and governance in a growing or maturing organizationDeep expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) across analytical and operational use casesStrong knowledge of modern data platforms (Snowflake, cloud data warehouses) and how architecture decisions impact them
