Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.Position SummaryResponsible for visually and functionally inspecting aircraft parts during all phases of procesing. ResponsibilitiesPerform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspectionCalibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to usingInterface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to qualityProvide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and proceduresInitiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administratorsConduct internal audits as requiredSuggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management systemPerform other tasks as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in masking or a related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.Export Compliance RequirementThis position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies.
