The LAc will collaborate closely with other medical providers, therapists, and wellness practitioners to support patients on their journey toward whole-body health.In addition to patient care, this role includes active participation in community outreach, education, and visibility-building efforts, supporting both individual practice growth and the broader clinic mission.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive acupuncture-based care for acute and chronic conditionsDevelop individualized treatment plans incorporating acupuncture, supplements, and lifestyle therapiesBuild and retain a strong patient base through excellent care and community engagementCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated, whole-body careParticipate in educational content, community events, and clinic marketing effortsPersonalized Patient Experience: Presents a safe, professional and approachable persona toward patients and co-workersAdheres to a high professional image standard in dress, appearance, language, and lifestylePerforms and records initial health history, assessment and evaluation of patientsPerforms and records all sessions performed using appropriate diagnosis, treatment and billing codes according to established guidelinesDiagnose, prescribe and treat patients with appropriate Chinese medicine techniques - acupuncture, cupping, moxa, acupressure as requiredCompletes personalized prescription which may include treatment plan, supplements, complementary practices and productsPractices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness, and visual presentationMaintains treatment rooms and common space neat and stocked at all times Growth & Retention: Actively builds new patients and increases client retentionContributes towards a healthy, growing and abundant clinicProvides written and video content for blog, social media and livestream eventsEstablish external relationships/partnerships within the communityInvest in continuing self-education to ensure growthInteracts cooperatively with other Root therapists and clinicians to provide a seamless guest experience and refer for services as neededAttends and participates in all general, team and required meetingsSets and achieves goals and targets Qualifications Doctorate or Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese MedicineLicensed LAc in the state of Oregon3-5+ years of clinical experience (including acute and chronic care)Credentialed or credentialing with major insurance plansAlignment with Root Whole Body's mission and values What We Offer Established clinic with strong reputation and built-in referralsFull administrative support (billing, scheduling, front desk)Beautiful NW Portland locationCollaborative, values-driven team culture
