Electronic Test Technician

Job Title: Electronics Lab Test TechnicianLocation: Tustin, CA (onsite)Contract Duration: Mar 9 – Sep 4, 2026Rate: $26–$35/hr Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Test Technician to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with electronic assemblies, test equipment, and prototypes in a fast-paced engineering environment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent soldering and harnessing skills, and experience performing functional testing and troubleshooting of electronic circuits. Key Responsibilities:Perform PCBA modifications, including component rework, soldering/de-soldering, and blue wire modifications in accordance with IPC-610 Class 3 standards.Build wire harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620C specifications.Assemble and/or set up custom test equipment based on engineering diagrams and specifications.Conduct functional and circuit block testing of electronic circuit assemblies and prototypes.Troubleshoot and identify root causes of failures in electronic assemblies.Maintain accurate test records and update procedures as required. Qualifications:3+ years of technician experience in electronics or engineering labs.Technology/Technician degree or equivalent practical experience.Experience in electric vehicle electronics is a plus.Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.Proficient in soldering fine pitch ICs and 0402 components.Experienced in building wire harnesses.Hands-on experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, e-loads, etc.).Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).Familiarity with Jira tools and Python scripting is a plus.Relevant certifications such as IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711/7721, or J-STD-001 are desirable.
