Job title: Technical Solution ArchitectEngagement type: B2B, FreelanceStart date: 11th May 2026Duration: 3 months, likelihood of extension Location: Full remote Rate: Negotiable Seeking a Technical Solution Architect with strong experience in e-commerce search platforms, Google Cloud, and data-driven experimentation, to support a major retail transformation programme for a multinational professional services network.This role focuses on designing and optimising a next-generation search and product discovery platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging Vertex AI Search for Commerce and integrating with behavioural data, analytics pipelines, and existing search infrastructure.RequirementsStrong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Proven experience with Vertex AI Search for Commerce / Retail Search Deep understanding of e-commerce search systems and architecture (product catalog structures, user event pipelines, ranking and relevance logic) Strong API integration experience (REST, real-time data flows) Experience with GA4 and BigQuery (event exports, transformations, backfills) Experience designing A/B testing frameworks for search or product discovery Understanding of search optimisation concepts (ranking models, attribution, relevance tuning) Familiarity with Elasticsearch (for comparison or migration scenarios) Experience with Google Tag Manager (server-side tagging) is an advantageKnowledge of real-time streaming architectures (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, etc.)Please apply if interested - thanks!
