DSP - Monterey Park, CADirect Support Professional Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $19.50/hr. Here's What You'll Do: The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting their health, safety and well-being. Our Direct Support Professionals proudly serve as an advocate to improve the overall quality of life for our clients. Essential Functions: Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan. Assist clients with bathroom needs. Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed. Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up. Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary). Education and Experience: 1 Year of experience working closely with individuals that have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Experience with high behaviors a plus. First Aid/CPR and CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain) Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a California Driver's License Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 30lbs. Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
