This role is responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and secure interfaces that enable seamless data exchange across systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS), and other third-party applications.The ideal candidate combines strong technical development skills with a deep understanding of integration standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role partners closely with implementation teams, product, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesInterface Development & EngineeringDesign, develop, and maintain interfaces between PAR systems and external platformsTranslate functional and technical requirements into scalable integration solutionsBuild and support integrations using industry standards (e.g., HL7, APIs, flat files, FTP, TCP/IP)Develop reusable components, templates, and tools to improve integration efficiencyEnsure data integrity, performance, and reliability across all interfacesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeImplementation & DeliveryCollaborating with project managers and implementation teams on interface deliveryParticipate in interface design sessions with internal and external stakeholdersSupport interface testing, validation, and go-live activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve integration issues during and after deploymentEnsure successful handoff to support teams following stabilizationSupport & OptimizationProvide advanced technical support for interface-related issuesMonitor interface performance and proactively identify improvementsAnalyze root causes of issues and implement long-term fixesContinuously improving integration processes, tools, and documentationCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define integration requirementsCommunicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to best practices, standards, and architectural decisionsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong experience in interface/integration development within a healthcare IT environmentProficiency with integration standards such as HL7, APIs (REST/SOAP), FTP, and TCP/IPStrong experience with relational databases and SQL (querying, joins, stored procedures, data validation, performance analysis, troubleshooting)Experience parsing, transforming, and validating structured data formats (e.g., HL7, JSON, XML, CSV)Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience integrating with healthcare EMR and MMIS systems such as Epic, MEDITECH, Infor, Workday, PeopleSoft or McKessonExperience with healthcare integration engines or middleware (e.g., Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint)Experience developing in C# / .NET and JavascriptExperience with Microsoft Entity FrameworkKnowledge of cloud-based integration approaches or modern API frameworksUnderstanding of secure integration practices, including authentication, encryption, transport security, and protected healthcare data handlingRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field3+ years of experience in interface development, integration engineering, or similar roleHealthcare IT experience strongly preferred
