You are recognised for your passion to succeed, and can be the best part of yourself here.Discover your next exciting career opportunity....Head of Solution Engineering - TrendAI NetherlandsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Head of Solution Engineering to lead our local Solution Engineering organization and drive day‐to‐day excellence in PreSales execution for the Netherlands business.This is a leadership role with responsibility for people leadership, prioritization, and operational alignment across Tech, Sales, Channel, and Marketing. The role focuses on execution and enablement, while working in close partnership with the Technical Director, who owns technical strategy, business initiatives and European/global alignment.The team currently consists of approximately five Solution Engineers, making this a role that combines hands‐on leadership with clear delegation and scale mindset. Direct customer contact is part of the role as well.Your MissionLead and continiously develop a high‐performing local Solution Engineering team to ensure we have the right resources and skills for our demand on co-operation in partner and sales opportunities, marketing collaboration and channel a partner collaboration.Ensure effective, consistent PreSales execution across customer and partner engagementsAct as a strong operational counterpart to Sales, Channel and Marketing leadership in a high-performance teamTranslate global and regional direction into practical local executionKey ResponsibilitiesLocal SE Leadership & OperationsLead, coach, and develop the local Solution Engineering team (currently 5+ Solution Engineers)Set priorities and ensure focus on the right opportunities and customersOwn day‐to‐day PreSales execution including customer engagements, demos, POCs, and tendersAct as the primary escalation point for complex or high‐impact situationsEngage in customer interaction as management stakeholder / technical lead and lead with a growth-oriented mindsetThe role focuses on leadership, coordination, and quality rather than replacing individual contributors.Sales, Channel & Marketing AlignmentOperate as a trusted execution partner to Sales leadershipEnsure effective SE engagement across direct sales and channel partnersSupport Marketing initiatives with technical input and field readinessContribute to strategic account planning and opportunity qualificationThis role does not carry an individual sales quota but has strong influence on revenue outcomes through enablement and execution.Go‐To‐Market & Customer EngagementSupport the local go‐to‐market execution by aligning technical activities with Sales prioritiesHelp simplify and position TrendAI solutions for customers and partners with Land & Expand initiatives as well as upsell initiativesParticipate selectively in strategic customer engagements where leadership presence or escalation is requiredFacilitate Sales Enablement activities to keep knowledge current and support our vision of value-oriented storytellingCollaboration with Technical Director & Global TeamsWork closely with the Technical Director to execute strategic direction locallyProvide structured feedback from customers and the field into European and global teamsEnsure local execution aligns with regional and global initiativesLocal execution decisions and prioritization sit with this role; long‐term technical strategy remains with the Technical Director.Capability, Capacity & Performance ManagementOwn capacity planning and skill alignment for the Solution Engineering teamContinuously improve SE effectiveness through reviews, metrics, and feedbackEnforce opportunity and POC reviews to improve focus and win ratesTalent DevelopmentCoach and mentor Solution Engineers in both technical and professional growthFoster a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountabilitySupport career development and succession planningPOC & Opportunity GovernanceOwn local governance for Proof of Concepts (POCs) to abend to global standardsEnsure POCs are well‐qualified, value‐driven, and outcome‐focused with a high-quality in documentation and executionBalance customer needs with team capacity and business prioritiesWhat You BringExperience leading or mentoring Solution Engineers or PreSales teamsStrong ability to work closely with Sales while maintaining technical integrityClear communication skills across technical and non‐technical stakeholdersPragmatic leadership mindset - structured, collaborative, and execution‐focusedExperience working in environments with regional or global alignmentYou do not need to be an expert in everything - the role is about enabling others and making good decisions, not being the smartest person in every room.Why This RoleClear ownership of local execution and people leadershipStrong partnership with Sales and a clearly defined Technical Director counterpartOpportunity to shape and grow a Solution Engineering organization over timeVisible impact on customer success and business resultsAt Trend Micro, we embrace change, empower people, and encourage innovation in a connected world.
