DevSecOps Architect

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a DevSecOps Architect. This candidate will be a key player to access current maturity and establish enterprise-wide DevOps practices focused on CICD pipelines, scalable centralized DevOps across multiple technologies, deployment targets across cloud and on-premiseRequired Qualifications Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX, or be willing to relocate to the area as this position is an onsite role. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education At least 11 years of Information Technology experience (IOT, Telematics, and Automotive Domain is a must) At least 6 years of DevSecOps assessment, design and implementation experience Assess the current stage, define and implement Operating model, people/process transformation and DevSecOps solution blueprint. Translate the customer requirement to DevSecOps use-cases Identify DevSecOps bottle necks in value stream and provide recommendations Participate in RFPs, create PoCs/ Accelerators / IPs and evangelize Design high level DevSecOps architecture, solutioning as per client requirements. Drive meetings to gather technical and integration requirements w.r.t DevSecOps, derive and justify technical solution to client stakeholders Should be able to understand and define architectural solution blueprint, design frameworks and methodologies used and create and implement appropriate DevSecOps solution. Knowledge of security testing best practices across the DevSecOps processes and infrastructure including implementing secure access controls, encryption and monitoring. All applicants authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to applyTechnical Skills RequiredGit Repository Migration: Proven experience migrating Git repositories between platforms (strong preference for GitLab to GitHub). Deep understanding of Git internals and migration strategies.CI/CD Pipelines: Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.GitHub Actions: Strong proficiency with GitHub Actions and the GitHub ecosystem, including workflow syntax and best practices.TypeScript: Experience developing custom GitHub Actions using TypeScript is highly desirable.Containerization: Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (AWS ECS and EKS).Kubernetes Interaction: Proficiency in using kubectl for interacting with Kubernetes clusters (specifically EKS in this context).Package Management (Kubernetes): Experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.Build and Dependency Management: Experience with build tools and dependency management for:Java: Maven, GradleNode.js: NPM, YarnPython: pipGit: Strong command-line Git skills and understanding of Git workflows (e.g., Gitflow, trunk-based development).Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS services relevant to application hosting (ECS, EKS).Deployment Automation: Experience with deployment tools, ideally including Argo CD for GitOps-based deployments.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency in Terraform, and awareness of Terraform Cloud is highly welcome.Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Java) for automation tasks.Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills related to build, test, and deployment processes.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience for building CICD solutions, installing and integrating tools or leveraging cloud services such as: Continuous delivery/deployment (Argo CD, Go CD, AWS CodeDeploy, Harness, GitHub Actions..) Testing and coverage tools (JMeter/Jira/Selenium/UFT etc.) Release and deployment management tools / services Configuration management tools (Ansible etc.) Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS CFT, Terragrunt etc.) expertise Communication and Presentation skills to lead technical discussion Working Knowledge of the activities and best practices in SDLC phases (branching, merging, quality checks, builds management and progression to various environments, externalization of configurations and its management) Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skill Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources Exceptional Organizational Skills, Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are requireAbility to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
