Full Time Medical Assistant- Templeton
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare exam rooms, room patients, obtain vital signs, accurately document patient charts in EMR
Assist providers with minor procedures, manage specimen handling
Schedule tests and follow up appointments for patients, triage patient calls, provide basic information per provider instructions.
Assist with referrals, EDD submissions, back-to-work letters
Follow strict infection control, sterilization, and disinfection procedures for instruments and exam rooms
Perform daily equipment checks and ensure proper operation of sterilization devices (e.g., autoclave)
Prepare paper charts for office appointments, ensure all necessary documents are in the chart
Handle biohazard materials and medical waste according to regulatory guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant or 2+ years of medical office experience
Proven experience with medication administration, coding, vital signs, and patient service
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR)
Strong multitasking abilities with high attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and patient needs
