Job DescriptionLocated in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay.Job SummaryPerforms non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife. Performs blood collection by venipuncture and arterial puncture. Assists in preparation of specimens, operation of selected equipment and clerical duties.Job RequirementsEducation and Work Experience:High School Education/GED or equivalent: RequiredLicenses/CertificationsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: PreferredBasic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredSuccessful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: PreferredPhlebotomy certificate: PreferredFacility Specific License/CertificationsAHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: RequiredEssential FunctionsSets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
