OverviewJob Title: Public Safety Corporal - University PoliceLocation: Valdosta State UniversityRegular/Temporary: RegularFull/Part Time: Full-TimeJob ID: 296233ResponsibilitiesPatrol campus on foot and in a vehicle to detect and deter crime, enforce campus policies, and provide security; enforces local, state, and federal laws. (Allocation: 25%)Respond to calls for service from students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors and provide assistance in a variety of emergency and non-emergency settings. (Allocation: 20%)Assist the supervisor in training and directing the work of personnel, conducting uniform and equipment inspections, and reviewing and evaluating personnel performance. (Allocation: 15%)Provide security for campus events and activities; lock and unlock doors; control traffic flow when needed. (Allocation: 15%)Investigate crimes and traffic accidents; gather evidence and interview witnesses, victims, and suspects; prepare related reports. (Allocation: 15%)Prepare a variety of regular and special reports, including incident reports and review reports completed by subordinates.
