Laser Operator Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Laser Operator role in Boring, OR. Pay: $2535/hour DOE Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy. Load and position materials onto the laser bed, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement. Adjust machine settings, including speed and power, to optimize cutting performance and quality. Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to tolerances. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment. Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot minor issues as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines and production goals. Accurately track and document job progress and material usage. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. 2+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
