SQL Server Developer100% RemoteIT Developers are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. They will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models. IT Developers are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications and will participate in evaluating, conducting performance testing, and all planned and unplanned maintenance for both internally developed applications and purchased products. They participate in design meetings, consult with clients to refine, test, and debug programs to meet business needs, and interact with — and sometimes direct — third-party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives. IT Developers are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.As a SQL Server Developer, you will be a key member of the Database Group responsible for providing overall database support with a concentration in back-end programming. You will be responsible for properly maintaining source code sets and necessary technical documentation and will assist the DBAs in overall database maintenance. In this role, you'll leverage your knowledge of SQL Server database development and be instrumental in the successful implementation of our browser-based, enterprise software product.Essential FunctionsWork as part of the SQL Development team designing schemas, tables, views, indexed views, and developing stored proceduresCreate complex queries, SSIS jobs, and SSRS / Power BI reportsApply the latest T-SQL language features; experience working with large volumes of dataQualificationsExpert programming and troubleshooting skillsExpert performance tuning and dynamic SQL skillsStrong experience with SQL Server functions, procedures, triggers, stored procedures, and performance tuningExperience with complex indexing strategies, including columnstore indexingMust be willing to jump into anyone's code at any time to solve the problemMust be able to reverse engineer another developer's code and modify it to solve the problem more efficientlyEnsure database programs comply with V3 standardsPerformance tune SQL queries, application programs, and instancesApplication programming experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC 5, JavaScript, JSON, jQueryDemonstrated knowledge of XML and web servicesExperience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol, and change management proceduresProficiency with versioning tools like GitAbility to communicate technical information clearly and articulatelyAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentIn-depth understanding of the systems development life cycleProficiency in more than one object-oriented programming languageProficiency with standard desktop applications (MS Suite) and flow-charting tools such as VisioProficiency with debugging toolsHigh critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions consistent with business objectives and strategyExperience mentoring or leading other development staffProven leadership abilities, including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness, and appropriate assertiveness24x7 production support experience at large scaleRequired Work Experience5+ years related work experience; professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industryRequired EducationRelated Bachelor's degree or related work experienceWelcome to ConsultNet, a premier national provider of technology talent and solutions.
