We are looking for an Estimator to speak with clients about their projects and provide them with on-site quotes.Job DetailsFull time employmentBase salary plus commissionJob ResponsibilitiesWork with inbound warm leads who have already expressed interest in our company as they have scheduled an estimate after seeing advertisements or via referrals.Meet with homeowner customers on-site at their homes, to speak with them, assess their needs, measure and assess their property details, and provide quotesMaster the technical details of our niche construction industryMaster luxury sales and customer handlingConduct minimal follow-up calls to past estimatesServe as the customer’s first point of contact prior to their project bookingPossibility of outbound lead generation as the position growsProvide in-depth technical assessment and knowledgeGet the actual quote together on site-- actual math of the estimate, organization and timingHow to handle people -- empathy and listening skillsThe art of sale -- arriving on time, how often to follow up, and gently close.Follow up with stale estimates and help move sales along. Personality and CultureVery friendly, likeable and trustworthy. We do not desire heavy-handed ‘sales tactics’ -- these are luxury sales where your primary responsibility is to demonstrate expertise, honesty, and how we would fit the needs of our clients.Unusually high level of attention to detail.Job RequirementsExperience in the construction industry, particularly in pool building or residential construction services is strongly preferredPast experience in estimating strongly preferredAbility to handle outdoor work and heat (most of the day is spent outdoor on shaded lanai spaces)Excellent algebra and mathematic thinking (however, our equipment does most of the work)Experience serving wealthy / high-net-worth clienteleConstruction sales / estimation background or at least moderate knowledge of construction terms and techniques.As pioneers of rubberized concrete resurfacing in the region, we are seeing our products transition into a mainstream demand among pool contractors, builders, and individual homeowners.Because our video sales letter handles the heavy lifting of product and company education, this role requires minimal traditional salesmanship. Instead, we need a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly guide to conduct thorough project inspections—capturing accurate notes and measurements across approximately 40 specific points.Compensation Details:Salary plus commission structure.Full time, $54k/yr base plus 20k-50k commission Pay with commission beginning after 3 month training period, during which base pay wil be $28/hr. 1% base commission on gross sales w/ bonuses available over sales targetsFull use of company sales vehicle for work and personal (brand-safe) use. Company phone and iPadHealthcare contribution @ 3 months tenure.10 Days PTO (sick and personal combined) plus 5 paid holidays per year.
