Maintenance Technician

Job Description This position will be 3rd shift.Summary: Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. Log repairs, work order maintenance and preventive maintenance on necessary documents/logs. Availability for overtime with or without advance notice Other duties as assigned by management staff Competency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Ability to get along with others, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment effective and efficiently. Education/Experience:High School diploma or equivalent.Technical training; exposure to manufacturing equipment Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)2+ years of related experience in production machines. Language Ability:Ability to read, analyze and interpret manuals and maintenance support documents. The ability to process and organize the repair plan. Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems in a professional manner. Reasoning ability must be consistent with established company policies and procedures.
