Job Title: Environmental TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Environmental Field Technician in Miami to work on a variety of projects including land redevelopment, electric utility, remediation, chemical/petroleum spill, and municipal solid waste landfill projects. This role involves collaborating with scientists and engineers while following regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and company protocols. The position requires exercising independent judgment and completing tasks and projects with minimal direction from management.Responsibilities+ Operate and maintain groundwater remediation systems.+ Oversee well installation.+ Conduct groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling.+ Monitor air and vapor.+ Maintain detailed field notes for remediation, Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects.Essential Skills+ 3+ years of experience in environmental science, geology, or a related field.+ Experience with environmental remediation field work.+ Proficiency in interpreting and understanding SID and NPDES permit requirements.+ Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting machine parts and basic electrical work.+ Ability to work effectively in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.+ Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.+ Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision.+ Skilled in conducting environmental field services in an industrial setting.+ Familiar with correct procedures for collecting and preparing SID and NPDES samples.+ Ability to perform fieldwork, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and solid judgment.+ Completion of (or willingness to complete) 40-hour HAZWOPER training.Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in outdoor conditions, receiving assignments from Project Managers, and reporting administratively to an assigned supervisor. The technician will work independently or with other staff, picking up equipment from the office and driving to the assigned site. Tasks require carrying equipment, such as a 25lb cooler, shovel, and hand auger, across large sites. A company or rental vehicle will be provided.
