IP Litigation Associate Attorney (3–6 years)
Sheppard is seeking an IP Litigation Associate Attorney (3–6 years) to join our nationally recognized Intellectual Property Practice Group.This position is open to all Sheppard offices, with a preference for candidates based in Washington, D.C., San Diego (Del Mar), San Francisco, or Silicon Valley.Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is a global Am Law 50 full-service law firm with over 1,200 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide. We represent Fortune 50 and multinational companies, as well as innovative start-ups, across technology, consumer products, and life sciences in their most critical disputes.The Team Seeks Candidates Who Have Experience WithPatent litigation in federal district court, including fact development, discovery, motion practice, expert issues, and trial preparationITC (Section 337) investigations, including coordination with parallel district court and/or PTAB proceedingsDrafting high-quality written work product, including briefs, motions, and client communicationsWorking with technical experts and quickly mastering complex technologies to present clear, persuasive argumentsPTAB proceedings, including IPRsExperience with or interest in SEPs/FRAND and disputes involving telecommunications and multimedia standards (e.g., cellular, Wi‑Fi, video coding)QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school3–6 years of patent litigation experienceStrong academic credentialsExcellent analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills; collaborative and team-orientedAdmission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction required.Resume, cover letter, and law school transcript are required to apply.The annual salary range for this position is $260,000–$390,000.Contact: For inquiries, please reach out to Katherine Milanes at kmilanes@sheppard.com.Req #: 2026-24573
