Overview
The Recruiter will focus on sourcing, attracting, and supporting onboarding for skilled construction roles, such as crane operators, welders, riggers, steel fabricators, and laborers. This role requires bilingual fluency in Spanish and experience in construction recruiting. You will play a hands-on role in onboarding, ensuring that new hires are integrated smoothly into the company culture and ready to contribute effectively to their projects.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing Talent: Identify and recruit skilled construction professionals, including crane operators, welders, ironworkers, steel fabricators, and laborers, ensuring they meet project needs.
Candidate Screening & Assessment: Evaluate candidates qualifications, skills, and cultural fit through comprehensive screening and assessments.
Networking & Talent Pipeline: Build and maintain a robust network of potential hires and industry contacts for current and future talent needs.
Hands-on Onboarding Support: Actively participate in the onboarding process, guiding new hires through initial training, paperwork, and orientation. Provide a supportive transition into their roles by ensuring they understand job expectations, safety protocols, and company culture.
Bilingual Communication: Use Spanish and English to effectively communicate with a diverse talent pool throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish to engage and support a bilingual workforce.
Construction Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience recruiting for skilled trades, such as crane operators, welders, steel fabricators, and other construction roles.
Recruiting & HR Skills: Strong capabilities in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates, as well as an understanding of construction industry needs.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with recruiting software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Organizational & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and establish rapport with candidates and internal teams.
