This is an exciting opportunity as you'll be planning and executing technical projects for propulsion systems components while having responsibility for maintaining the budget and delivery schedule.In this opportunity, you will get a chance to work within a cross-functional team and be responsible for the delivery objectives of engineering projects and identifies the technical and business requirements for respective projects and coordinates the tasks and resources necessary to deliver to the Program goals and objectives. These projects can include technical design packages and queries in the Production and Sustainment areas of the program as well as Improvement initiatives within New Product Introduction, Cost Reduction, Producibility, Reliability, and Weight reduction.What you will be doing:Managing project technical and schedule needs and effectively leading multi-disciplinary teams comprised of manufacturing, quality, engineering, and purchasing resources to achieve program delivery milestonesExecuting WBS cost account management, integrated planning /scheduling, earned-value assessment, risk management and continuous improvement tasksFacilitating multi-disciplinary teams and their completion of project tasks and deliverables in accordance with applicable processes, procedures and regulationsLeading global multi-disciplinary teams to develop and define component-based and system-level technical solutionsPlanning and structuring complex multidisciplinary work scope for design, analysis and hardware procurement, ensuring compliance with requirementsResponsible for oversight of subcontractors or subcontracted LiftSystem components and the delivery of hardware and sub-systems equipment as defined by the IPTLReporting technical and business results of assigned projectsEffectively communicating complex technical aero-mechanical projects with program stakeholdersBasic Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in design and/or manufacturing engineering OR;Masters degree in Engineering with 0+ years of experience in design and/or manufacturing engineering OR;PhD in Engineering with 0+ years of experience in design and/or manufacturing engineeringIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US CitizenshipPreferred Requirements:Technical knowledge of turbo-machinery, gas turbine engines, and mechanical systemsTrained in project management principles, requirements management, systems engineering, and/or structured verification methodsFamiliarity with Process Management (i.e APQP) and Manufacturing processes (i.e. Fixed Process Approval, FAIR)PMP CertificationSix Sigma Green Belt certificationOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
