Locum Tenens Physician - Infectious DiseasePosition Type: Locum TenensSpecialty: Physician - Infectious DiseaseLocation: IndianaRate: Open & NegotiableShift: 12-hour in-house call, Clinic hours 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMStart Date: February 2025End Date: OngoingPosition Details:Patient Population: 100% adult, 25% geriatricSetting: Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient Hospital CoverageCall Ratio: 4:1Patient Load: 15-20 per day (up to 30 during COVID spikes)Pathology Includes: HIV, MRSA, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, septic joint, meningitis, diabetic foot infection, bacteremia, abscesses, and fungal infectionsEMR System: Epic (Epic experience REQUIRED)Support Staff: 3 physicians in the groupResponsibilities:Cover both inpatient and outpatient infectious disease casesConsultative practice in managing complex infectious diseasesParticipation in infection prevention, infection control, and sepsis programs/committees as neededWork Environment:Community-based practice in a modern medical office building adjacent to the hospitalCollaborative and consultative practice, handling both routine and complex infectious disease casesSubmission Requirements:Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency - REQUIREDActive Indiana License at the time of submission - REQUIREDBLS Certification - REQUIREDLocal Provider within driving distance - PREFERREDMUST be willing and available to cover BOTH inpatient and outpatient - REQUIREDCredentialing Timelines:Payer Enrollment: 90-120 daysHospital Privileges: 45-60 daysJoin us today!
