They pride themselves on being a "fearless" firm that tempers creativity with technology, focusing on practical, step-by-step innovation and honest business practices.  Role Snapshot Location: LATAM - (Remote)  Schedule: Full-time | 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Type: Independent Contractor  Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Designer Softline to support the development and execution of bedding products from concept through production. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing technical packages, product specifications, construction details, measurements, and fit/quality standards across adult bedding categories, including comforters, quilts, sheets, duvet sets, pillows, mattress pads, and decorative bedding accessories.  The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of textiles, bedding construction, fabrication, and production processes, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, product development, and overseas factories.  Responsibilities Create and maintain detailed tech packs for adult bedding products, including construction details, measurements, BOMs, labeling, packaging, and specifications. Develop clear product specifications and technical documentation for factories and vendors. Review prototypes, lab dips, strike-offs, and production samples to ensure product accuracy and quality standards are met. Partner closely with Design and Product Development teams to translate creative concepts into production-ready products. Ensure consistency in fit, construction, fabrication, and quality across all bedding categories. Collaborate with overseas factories and suppliers to troubleshoot construction, quality, and production issues. Track sample development timelines and communicate updates across cross-functional teams.  Review and approve artwork placement, print scale, trims, and packaging specifications.   Assist with product testing, compliance requirements, and retailer-specific standards. Support costing initiatives through construction and material optimization recommendations.   Maintain accurate product records and technical documentation within PLM and internal systems. Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and product evaluations as needed.  Requirements (Must-Have) Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Technical Design, Product Development, or related field preferred. 3-5+ years of technical design experience within home textiles or bedding categories preferred. Strong knowledge of bedding construction, textiles, fabrics, fills, sewing techniques, and product specifications. Experience creating detailed tech packs and managing product specifications from development through production. Experience with PLM systems preferred. Strong understanding of measurements, grading, construction methods, and quality standards. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with overseas factories and production timelines preferred.  Technical Skills (Required) Technical package (tech pack) development. Bedding construction and fabrication knowledge. Product specification management. Measurement and grading expertise. BOM creation and documentation. Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Photoshop. Microsoft Office Suite. PLM systems. Quality control and sample review. Product testing and compliance support. Packaging and labeling specifications. Production coordination with overseas factories. Textile and sewing technique knowledge.  Tools & Systems Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) Time tracking: Hubstaff  Internal systems: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite.  Why Join? Competitive pay in USD. 100% remote — work from home or anywhere. Flexible time-off. Work with an international team. Learning opportunities. Be a member of an elite group of top talent.
