Electrical Engineer -Facilities

Manufacturing Engineering LeaderResponsible for leading all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to guide their Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.Main responsibilities include:Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studiesOversee engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtrationManage and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budgetManage all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installationLead Flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)Lead their team in the implementation of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SIS tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risksDevelopment/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.Support the Engine, Transmission, e-components (EDM, Motors) or Chassis (Battery Tray, Cradles, Cross Car Beams)Drive standardization across plants in all regionsLead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment and infrastructureSupport Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) initiativesCenter of Competency facilities support for NAFTA regionBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or High School diploma/GED and 5 years of technical / engineering experience in automotive manufacturing environmentMust be able to work and interact with all levels of the organizationMust have strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skillsAbility to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentationAbility to analyze, interpret and present data to all levels of the company in easily understandable formatsAbility to implement SPW principles and ability to lead effectively in a bargaining unit environmentAbility to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processesDemonstrated abilities to plan and execute large scale projects in time and budgetAbility to effectively lead, teach, coach and mentor employeesStrong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop the best teamsKnowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closureKnowledge of cost studies and strategic planning a plusHigh demonstration of leadership and teamwork characteristicsMicrosoft Office intermediate or advanced knowledge, G Suite applications a plusMust be able to travel 21%-40%Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree preferredMinimum 10 years' manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plusMinimum of 5 years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
