Temporary Home Care Helper / Companion (June 27 – July 19)📍 Greensboro, NC🕒 Part-time / Split Shift💰 Competitive pay based on experienceWe are seeking a kind, dependable, and attentive home care helper to assist two elderly parents for a temporary summer position from June 27 through July 19.This is not intensive medical care. Both individuals are largely independent, but becoming increasingly forgetful and benefit from consistent daily support, structure, and companionship.ResponsibilitiesMorning visit:* Ensure both parents are awake and starting their day* Help organize and supervise daily medications* Encourage and accompany them on a daily walk* Assist with light morning routines as needed* Three times per week: drive/accompany them to an exercise activityEvening visit:* Prepare and serve dinner* Provide companionship and help maintain a calm evening routine* Serve limited wine/beer portions responsibly with dinner* Help monitor healthy alcohol consumption habits* Light tidying and kitchen cleanupIdeal Candidate* Compassionate, patient, and reliable* Comfortable working with elderly adults experiencing mild memory issues* Observant and able to notice changes in behavior or routine* Good communicator with family members* Driver’s license and reliable transportation required* Previous caregiving, CNA, nursing assistant, or senior companion experience preferred, but not requiredAdditional NotesThis role is best suited for someone who can provide gentle structure, consistency, and companionship while respecting the independence and dignity of two older adults.
