General Counsel

OverviewThis General Counsel role provides senior legal leadership and strategic guidance to executive leadership within a fast growing business consulting organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position serves as a trusted advisor across the business, supporting commercial strategy, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, data privacy, risk management, and litigation oversight. The role partners closely with leadership and cross functional teams to ensure legal alignment with business objectives while scaling legal infrastructure in a dynamic, high growth environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide senior legal counsel to executive leadership on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and complex commercial mattersMonitor, interpret, and advise on federal, state, and international laws impacting the businessDevelop and implement legal strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned with organizational goalsEnsure compliance across sales training, business consulting, ecommerce, and regulated B2B and B2C activitiesReview, draft, and negotiate commercial, vendor, and partner agreements, including provisions related to data privacy, indemnification, limitation of liability, and terminationPartner with technical and compliance teams on data usage, privacy, and AI related legal mattersSupport intellectual property strategy, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and related contractual protectionsOversee risk management initiatives, including liability, cyber, and errors and omissions coverageDesign and refine scalable legal workflows, templates, and internal processes to support growthManage litigation, disputes, and pre litigation mattersCoordinate and oversee outside legal counsel as neededPreferred ExperienceEcommerce terms and conditionsTCPA and FTC complianceSarbanes OxleyMergers and acquisitionsFamily office legal structuresQualificationsJuris Doctor degree with active Florida bar membership requiredDemonstrated ability to build legal teams, systems, and processesStrong business judgment, communication skills, and executive presenceExperience supporting AI or data driven productsComfortable operating in fast paced, evolving environmentsCollaborative, team oriented approach with the ability to influence across the organizationStrategic mindset with credibility to advise senior leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr
