You'll lead large-scale power purchase agreements (PPAs) and competitive procurements that directly shape how utilities and major industrials meet their clean energy goals. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership – driving transactions end-to-end while helping build and scale a high-performing energy transactions capability.What you'll ownLead end-to-end PPA transactions (structuring, negotiation, execution) for utility-scale generationDesign and run competitive solicitations (RFPs/RFQs) for wholesale power procurementOwn commercial negotiations across multi-$100M energy contractsAct as a trusted advisor to clients and senior stakeholdersSupport regulatory processes, filings, and testimony where requiredBuild structure, tools, and ways of working as the practice scalesMentor junior team members and shape best practice across the teamWhy this role stands outReal ownership: lead complex, high-value transactions—not just advise on themVisible impact: directly influence clean energy investment decisionsBuild something: help scale a fast-growing energy transactions platformBreadth of exposure: work across utilities, large C&I clients, and market stakeholdersWe're looking forYou don't need to check every box—but you should bring a strong foundation in energy markets and commercial transactions.Experience leading or supporting PPA / energy transaction executionBackground in utilities, IPPs, developers, or energy advisoryFamiliarity with power markets (e.g. MISO, PJM, ERCOT or similar)Strong commercial and contract negotiation skillsAbility to operate with ownership in complex, multi-stakeholder environmentsWorking modelThis role is hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Jackson, MI).
