Controller

Winslow Automatics, a family-owned manufacturer of precision machined parts, seeks a highly organized and professional Controller. This hands-on leader will be responsible for all accounting functions and the supervision of human resources. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual ready for that first leadership role, or someone who enjoys the dynamics of the small company environment. Training will overlap with the departing finance lead. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Diverse role includes preparation and presentation of financial statements, forecasts, gross margin analysis and annual business plan. Heavy emphasis on cash management, cost accounting and effective company-wide use of ERP system. Primary liaison with banking, public accounting firm and insurance carriers. Supervision of part-time Payroll and Human Resources function. Continually develop and refine company policies/procedures, internal controls, and accounting systems. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline, with a minimum of 3+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment., with experience in a smaller company strongly preferred. Strong experience within a formal manufacturing ERP system in a small business environment. Global Shop ERP experience a plus. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Expert knowledge of Excel. Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to observe, learn, prioritize, and then manage multiple projects. Able to work independently with great attention to detail. Must be highly organized with process improvement skills. No third party applications will be accepted.
