Remote IT Accessibility Business AnalystLocation: Hartford, CT (Remote) Job DescriptionWe are seeking an IT Business Analyst to support a statewide public health initiative by driving data collection, data modeling, and distribution efforts while actively participating in document remediation to meet accessibility standards. The analyst will gather and validate data from online forms, design and implement comprehensive data models, and ensure these models are distributed to the appropriate systems and stakeholders. The IT BA will also be hands‑on in remediating documents to ensure compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 standards, using tools and techniques to simplify content for broader readability and migrate content into accessible formats using JotForm. The position requires strong technical expertise, including proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation, and hands‑on experience with Power BI for creating dashboards and reports. The IT BA will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, maintain clear documentation, and ensure all deliverables meet statewide and federal compliance deadlines of April 2026. Ideal candidates will combine technical skills with accessibility knowledge and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance‑driven environment. Skills and RequirementsProven experience in IT Business Analysis, including requirements gathering and data modeling. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Hands‑on experience with Power BI for reporting and visualisation. Expertise in accessibility standards, including ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1, with practical experience in document remediation. Strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements, especially in public health or regulated environments. Experience with document remediation for content accessibility.
