POSITION TITLE: Instructional CoachLOCATION: DistrictREPORTS TO: Chief Academic OfficerPrimary FunctionThe Instructional Coach will serve as an instructional leader who works closely with the school principal, teachers, and district leaders to manage, support, and guide faculty in a way that strengthens student growth and development. The Instructional Coach will provide support in the areas of curriculum, instruction, formative assessment, classroom management, and professional learning. The Instructional Coach will work with teachers and build relationships to help create a positive and supportive learning community.QualificationsLicense: Required: Professional Educator teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc., to support classroom planning and instructionResponsible and equitable stewardship, management, and distribution of instructional resourcesProvide professional development on instructional and classroom environment resources and strategiesImplement a data-driven, results-oriented, and evidence-based approach to coachingFacilitate conversations among teachers that result in a common understanding of performance standards and benchmarksSupport teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levelsAssist teachers with the planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and the selection of best practices to meet the needs of their studentsInformally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher's professional growth and students' successDevelop staff knowledge, skills, mindset, and behaviors through a variety of professional development on targeted topics and designsDevelop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvementContribute to the development of systems and structures to improve teacher practice within Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, and 20% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Exempt, full-time, 12-month position; this position is not part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with education and experience, including benefits package.
