Noble supports more than 31,000 alumni, with 99% of Noble students accepted into college and historically almost 90% choosing to enroll.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement the vision, goals, and requirements for instructional excellence and the pathway for student academic gains in collaboration with other instructional leadership and the PrincipalManage content department chairs, grade-level leads, and other mid-level leadership rolesOversee the creation of standards-aligned, rigorous curricula that leads to high-quality instruction, and the creation of assessments that effectively measure progress towards academic standardsAssign, inspect, and offer feedback on all academic deliverables (coaching reflections, planning documents, data-driven instruction cycles, quarterly data analysis, etc.)Coach caseload of teachers toward meeting their goals in terms of GPA, P/SAT growth, attendance, NGSS proficiency, AP scores, and student culturePlan for each teacher’s growth, support, and development throughout the school yearObserve and debrief with teachers in regular cycles, using progress toward goals, video/observation evidence, gradebook data, student work, etc.Advocate for caseload of teachers within the school by celebrating successes, sharing struggles, and promoting professional growthAnalyze data, facilitate quarterly data conferences, track progress toward academic goals (including gradebook audits and GPA), and intervene with specific teachers and teams as necessaryOrganize, develop, and deliver on-site high quality professional developmentCoordinate standardized testing and other academic supportsSupport with hiring process and onboarding for new teachersIdeal QualificationsAn unwavering belief that all students can succeed in high school & college, and lead exemplary livesProven track record of ambitious results in previous roles, both as a classroom teacher and in other campus leadership rolesConsistently exhibits Noble core values (Results, Respect, Humility and Self-Awareness, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Follow Through) and thrives in a collaborative environmentA regular practice of reflection and a desire to continuously improveMastery of and enthusiasm for instructional pedagogy, data collection & analysis, and action planning & executionAn ability to think and act strategically as evidenced by a demonstrated resourcefulness in setting data-driven priorities and guiding investment in people and systemsExcellent time management skills, consistently thinking into the future to proactively problem solveSuccessful written and oral communication skills with a multitude of stakeholdersAble to build productive professional relationships with students, staff, and families, especially those in most need of supportMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree requiredEligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basisActive Illinois Teaching License preferred, not requiredTeaching ExperienceCompensation & BenefitsWe strive to be the best place to work, and our employee benefits are thoughtfully designed to support us in this ambition. Compensation for this position falls between $77,000 and $96,000 per year, which represents the average for staff in this role.
