Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in FreeRTOS/bare-metal development to support next-generation automotive ECU platforms. This role involves hands-on development, board bring-up, and low-level driver implementation in a non-AUTOSAR environment.The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in embedded C programming, hardware-software integration, and automotive communication protocols, along with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop embedded software for automotive ECU platforms using Embedded C/C++Design and implement solutions in bare-metal and RTOS environments (FreeRTOS/Zephyr)Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and debuggingDevelop and integrate low-level device drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, PWM)Collaborate with hardware teams for system integration and issue resolutionConduct low-level debugging using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzersSupport integration of communication protocols such as CAN and LINParticipate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decisionsPrepare and maintain technical documentation (design specs, debug reports, integration notes)Interface with customers for technical discussions and status updatesEnsure adherence to automotive quality standards and best practicesRequired Skills & Qualifications8 - 10 years of experience in embedded software developmentStrong programming skills in Embedded C/C++Hands-on experience with FreeRTOS or ZephyrExperience with bare-metal programmingProven expertise in board bring-up and hardware-software integrationStrong understanding of microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, or similar)Experience in device driver developmentFamiliarity with CAN and LIN communication protocolsProficiency in low-level debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscope, etc.)Experience working in non-AUTOSAR environments (mandatory)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred / Good to HaveExposure to Automotive EthernetBasic understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262, ASIL)Knowledge of Embedded Linux systemsExperience with zonal ECU architecturesFamiliarity with proprietary toolchains and development ecosystemsBehavioral CompetenciesStrong ownership and accountabilityAbility to work independently as a key technical contributorEffective communication with internal teams and customersStructured approach to documentation and reportingEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or Computer Engineering.
