1st Shift Production MIG Welder

IMMI is looking for motivated Welders to join our production team. Privately owned, headquartered in Westfield, Indiana and operating eight additional global facilities, IMMI is also home to IMMI VIP steering wheels and CAPE®, the world’s leading state-of-the-art testing facility.ResponsibilitiesWelding products according to work instructions and ensure compliance with the appropriate quality standardsMonitor welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged from warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkageDeliver daily production output demands and communicate timely with the appropriate personnel on any problems or delaysAssist at a variety of workstations throughout the work process as neededQualificationsPrevious welding knowledge accompanied by the appropriate educationUnderstand and apply written and oral instructionsAbility to work in a team environment and effectively communicateMust comply with legal and corporate responsibilitiesWork Environment DemandsThis work is deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedule, and flexibility within the workdayRequires the ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perceptionRequires working and interacting with others and the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused workThe following motions can be required during the day: Standing for extended periods of time, stepping up & down, balancing, bending (hip & knees), reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting (from floor to waist, waist to chest, chest to head), observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actionsRequires continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles, the ability to lift 25lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks as deemed necessaryThis work requires the proper attire and use of PPE which can include eyewear, steel toed protection, hard hat, gloves, earbuds, and other PPE as deemed necessaryWork with and/or around potentially dangerous equipmentThis position requires working with various temperature conditions
