We are currently seeking a Director of Materials Management to lead departmental operations and support hospital-wide goals. Position SummaryThe Director leads the Materials Management department in achieving departmental and hospital-wide objectives. This role is responsible for the operational oversight of the department, including effective collaboration with internal departments and external partners. The Director plays a key role in strategic planning, compliance, and operational efficiency related to materials, inventory, and purchasing functions. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is classified as salaried, exempt. Key Responsibilities Include:Leading departmental operations to support hospital-wide strategic and operational goalsOverseeing materials management, purchasing, inventory control, and contract managementEnsuring compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standardsManaging departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and group purchasing organization (GPO) engagementLeading, developing, and supporting staff through effective leadership and performance managementQUALIFICATIONSKnowledge & Skills:Ability to manage multifaceted projects while balancing day-to-day operational demandsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholdersEffective reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to work independently and take initiativeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and professionalism in all aspects of the roleProficiency with basic computer applications; experience with Microsoft Office and relevant systems preferredEducation & Experience:Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferredMinimum of five (5) years of experience in Healthcare Materials Management requiredMinimum of five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience required Join our Team!
